The bassoon is an instrument that can portray many characters
and express a broad spectrum of emotions,
gracefully switching between roles in the repertoire.
When two bassoons come together, their expressive abilities soar and create sounds that can be at one moment charming,
and at another shrill and desperate. 

The Bridge Bassoon Duo aims to highlight the capabilities of the ensemble through recitals, community engagement, and recordings, and to expand the bassoon duo repertoire through commissions, with a special focus on works by composers historically underrepresented in the Western canon.
